Borlán House

This 165 m² project is characterized by its reinterpretation of traditional elements of the Chilean house. The different spaces are organized around a central courtyard and extend outward through an exterior gallery that runs along the entire perimeter of the house.

Throughout the façade, a series of openings allows for natural ventilation and helps regulate temperature during both warmer and cooler periods.

The covered barbecue and outdoor dining area (quincho) is oriented east toward the Andes Mountains, with the slope of its roof opening toward the distant mountain range. The surrounding pillars frame these views, reinforcing the relationship between the architecture and the landscape. Likewise, the perimeter gallery plays a fundamental role in maintaining a strong horizontal expression, ensuring that the architecture does not interrupt the expansive views.
